About Me

Hi,
I'm Kye.

An emerging industrial designer based on the Gold Coast, Australia.

I graduated from Queensland University of Technology with a Bachelor of Design, majoring in Industrial Design and minoring in Graphic Design. My background has given me a strong foundation in product development, CAD modelling, prototyping, visual communication, material exploration, and user-centred design.

Since graduating, I've taken time to work, travel, and live overseas, including an extended period in Canada and Japan. Those experiences helped me build confidence, adaptability, communication skills, and a broader understanding of how people interact with products, spaces, brands, and environments across different cultures.

As a designer, I'm interested in creating products for specific audiences — objects that feel considered, useful, and connected to the people they're designed for. I'm particularly drawn to product design, furniture, lifestyle products, and sneaker design, where form, detail, material choice, and identity all play an important role.

I'm confident using SolidWorks and have experience across Adobe Creative Suite, with the ability to pick up new CAD and design software quickly. I enjoy moving between concept development, digital modelling, visual presentation, and practical problem-solving to turn early ideas into clear and refined design outcomes.

I'm currently looking for early-career opportunities across product and industrial design where I can continue learning, contribute to a team, and develop as a designer through real-world experience. I'm based on the Gold Coast and open to relocating for the right opportunity, including to cities such as Brisbane or Melbourne.
